Standard admission to Kula WILD Adventure Park gets you into one of Fiji’s most genuinely interesting family attractions: walk-through wildlife enclosures, coral and marine displays, and the consistently popular Hawksbill sea turtle feeding sessions. The adventure rides — Rollercoaster Zip Rail and Splash Mountain Jungle Water Slide — are available as a separate Kula Combo upgrade and are not part of basic admission.

The park is 28 acres across three valleys on Fiji’s Coral Coast near Sigatoka, with 12 acres of coastal forest open to visitors. It’s also a serious conservation operation: Kula runs the world’s largest captive breeding programme for Fiji’s critically endangered Crested Iguana, and rehabilitates injured sea turtles before releasing them at maturity.

At a glance

  • Open: every day of the year including public holidays
  • Hours: 10:00am–4:00pm (last entry 3:30pm)
  • Location: Korotogo, near Sigatoka, Coral Coast (easily walkable from nearby resorts — approximately 15 minutes on foot)
  • Transport: not included — arrange your own or walk from nearby resorts
  • Recommended time: 90 minutes to 2 hours for the wildlife walk alone; longer if you attend a turtle feeding

What standard admission includes

Interaction area: iguana and boa

The first thing you’ll encounter. Staff hold a rare Fijian iguana — vivid blue-green, calm, and genuinely unusual — and a Pacific Boa constrictor. Handling both for photos is included. Children who arrive apprehensive frequently leave this as the first story they tell. Reviewers with teenagers specifically mention the boa encounter as the unexpected highlight.

Walk-through bird enclosures

Large walk-through aviaries housing resident parrots, doves, water birds, and fruit bats. The design puts you inside the habitat rather than looking at it through glass — which is a meaningful difference in how engaging it feels. The park’s free-flying tropical birds, owls, and bat colony are popular.

Coral reef and marine display

A marine centre with live hard and soft coral, tropical fish, and reef invertebrates. Aimed at giving inland and international visitors a contextualised look at what surrounds Fiji’s 300+ islands.

Hawksbill sea turtle feeding

The session most guests plan their arrival around. Baby Hawksbill turtles — raised from hatchlings as part of the park’s marine rehabilitation programme before eventual ocean release — are fed from the water’s edge with visitors actively involved. Sessions run at 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:30pm daily. The 11:00am session is the best bet for guests who want to maximize remaining park time afterwards. Position yourself near the turtle tank a few minutes before each session — the viewing area fills.

Nearly a kilometre of boardwalks

Wooden walkways and bridges crossing the valley floor connect all the exhibits through coastal forest. The walk is well-maintained and largely shaded. Surface is mostly flat with some stairs; strollers are manageable on most sections but not all.

Kula Kiddies’ Splash Pool

A water play area with jets, slides, and a shallow wading pool for younger children — included with standard admission. Bring swimwear if this is relevant for your group.

Kula Combo upgrade (not in standard admission)

If the adventure rides are important to your group, the Kula Combo adds:

  • Rollercoaster Zip Rail (Kula Krazy Canopy Flier): Fiji’s first and only roller-coaster style zip rail — 2 rides included
  • Splash Mountain Jungle Water Slide: a 110-metre water slide with unlimited runs

Height and weight requirements apply for both rides. Confirm these with the park before arriving if relevant for children in your group: +679 650 0505.

Practical notes

Turtle feeding timing matters: arrival before 11:00am is the most efficient schedule if turtle feeding is a priority. Late arrivals risk reaching the park too late for the last 3:30pm session (last entry 3:30pm, session at the same time).

What to bring: comfortable closed-toe shoes for the boardwalk. Swimwear if using the kiddies pool. Sunscreen, water, and a hat. The park has two on-site cafés with meals and snacks.

Getting there without transport: from Korotogo, the park is approximately 15 minutes on foot. Guests at Hideaway Resort, Tambua Sands, and other Korotogo-area properties can walk directly. Taxis from Sigatoka town take 5 minutes.

Conservation note: your entry fee directly funds the Crested Iguana captive breeding programme and a free environmental education programme for Fiji’s primary school children. Over 9,500 local children have attended since the programme launched in 1998.

FAQs

Is the Kula Combo worth adding?

For families with children who meet height/weight requirements: yes, especially if you have time in the park. The Splash Mountain Water Slide gives unlimited runs and is consistently cited as a highlight by families with older children. For families with younger children, the wildlife walk and kiddies pool provide a full visit without the upgrade.

Is the park accessible for strollers or wheelchairs?

The main boardwalk sections are manageable for most strollers. Some areas have steps that limit access. Contact the park in advance if mobility is a specific concern: [email protected].
