Kula Wild Adventure Park Coral Coast - Wildlife Encounters, Sea Turtle Feeding and Jungle Water Slide
Kula WILD Adventure Park at Korotogo near Sigatoka is Fiji’s largest wildlife and family adventure park — 28 acres set across three valleys, with 12 acres of coastal forest open to visitors via nearly a kilometre of wooden walkways, bridges, and boardwalks.
It’s part ecological preserve, part conservation centre, and part adventure playground. The wildlife side is genuinely substantive: the park is the world’s largest captive breeding centre for Fiji’s critically endangered Crested Iguana, has successfully hatched 15 Monuriki Crested Iguana babies in captivity and released them to island habitats, and operates a rehabilitation programme for injured sea turtles before releasing them at maturity.
The adventure side includes Fiji’s first and only Rollercoaster Zip Rail and a 110-metre Splash Mountain Jungle Water Slide. Whether you’re there for the iguanas or the water slide, the park works for most ages and travel configurations.

Wildlife and conservation
Interaction area — iguana and boa: the park welcome includes an interaction station where visitors can handle a rare Fijian iguana and, if inclined, drape a Pacific Boa constrictor across their shoulders for photos. Staff manage these encounters carefully. Even guests who arrive sceptical about handling reptiles report that the experience is well-managed and memorable. This is typically the first thing visitors encounter on arrival.
Walk-through bird enclosures: large walk-through aviaries housing parrots, doves, water birds, fruit bats, and free-flying tropical birds. Unlike caged displays, the walk-through format puts you inside the habitat. Owls and fruit bats are particularly noted by families.
Marine display: coral reef exhibits featuring live hard and soft corals and tropical fish — a compressed representation of the reef systems surrounding Fiji’s 300+ islands.
Hawksbill sea turtle feeding: the most-mentioned highlight in family reviews. Baby Hawksbill turtles — raised from hatchlings as part of the park’s rehabilitation programme, eventually to be released into the ocean — are fed by guests from the water’s edge three times daily. Sessions run at 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:30pm. Arrive early for your target session as the viewing area fills quickly.
Crested Iguana breeding programme: the park operates under a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Trust for Fiji. Experts estimate fewer than 30 adults of the genetically unique Monuriki Crested Iguana remain in the wild. The park’s captive breeding and release programme represents a meaningful conservation effort, not a tourist add-on.
Adventure: Kula Combo ticket
The base park entry covers the wildlife walk, turtle feeding, bird enclosures, and marine displays. To access the adventure rides, purchase the Kula Combo addition:
Rollercoaster Zip Rail (Kula Krazy Canopy Flier): Fiji’s first and only zip rail with a roller-coaster element. Height and weight requirements apply — confirm with the park before your visit if these are relevant for your group. Two rides are typically included in the Combo.
Splash Mountain Jungle Water Slide: 110 metres of twisting jungle slide with 25 litres of water flowing per second. Unlimited rides on the Combo ticket. Minimum height requirements apply; check the park’s current guidelines when booking.
Kiddies’ Splash Pool: a separate water play area with jets, slides, and shallow pool for younger children who don’t meet the Splash Mountain requirements.
Practical notes
Arrive early if turtle feeding is your priority: the 11:00am session is the best bet for guests who want to maximise time in the park afterwards. Sessions do not require pre-booking but can fill; positioning yourself near the feeding area a few minutes before helps.
Plan your timing around the rides: the Splash Mountain slide is the most time-consuming activity and gives unlimited runs on the Combo. Families typically move through the wildlife walk in 90 minutes, then transition to the water area.
What to bring: swimwear and a towel if using the water slide or kiddie pool. Closed-toe shoes for the walkways and any zip activities. Sunscreen. A change of clothes after the slides. The park has on-site cafés at two locations; snacks and meals are available for purchase.
Transport: the park has no included transfers. From Nadi, it’s approximately 1 hour by bus (direct services to Korotogo from Nadi bus station, roughly 1 hour, alight near the park — confirm with the driver). From Korotogo-area resorts, the park is walkable in approximately 15 minutes. Taxis from Sigatoka town take 5 minutes.

FAQs
Is this worth doing without the Combo rides?
Yes — the wildlife walk, turtle feeding, and interaction area alone are genuinely good value for families. The Combo adds real visit time and significant fun for children who meet the height/weight requirements. For younger children who don’t meet the Splash Mountain requirements, the kiddies’ pool area (included with base admission) provides water play.
How do I confirm height and weight requirements before visiting?
Contact the park directly via their website (fijiwild.com) or call +679 650 0505. Requirements can change, and confirming avoids disappointment on the day.
Is the park accessible from the Coral Coast resorts?
Yes — Korotogo is in the middle of the Coral Coast, and most major Coral Coast resorts are within 15 minutes of the park by taxi or 30–45 minutes by road from the Nadi/Denarau end of the coast. Guests at Hideaway, Naviti, Warwick, Tambua Sands, and Castaway-area resorts are all close.
